The site was created in the last portion of 2023 with the idea of advancing the songwriting content of Laurence Lawlor. His music is a blend of fingerpicking guitar styles and raw lyricality. It takes a lot of its inspiration from grunge and punk music but has more of a 60s psychedelic approach, so that much of the time comes across much more toned down although the lyrical content isn’t happy go lucky. Releases

The releases have been chiefly independent, with his first album, and second EP release in 2020, but he hopes the project will take on a more collaberative shape in the future.

His first release was independent which meant that he uploaded, created, and promoted the venture on his own.

Categories

Using a scope, or lens, that I borrowed from the categories in Herstand’s book.

Personal manager, business manager, publicist, an entertainment attorney, a record label, a graphic designer, a recording engineer, a photographer.

Because of the state of the world that promotion had a limited scope. For that reason Laurence Lawlor still encourages people who are unfamiliar with his music to explore his earlier work, even though that is not the work they will see him play in the future.
